Sharjah Ruler issues decree reconstituting SCCI board

Sharjah Ruler Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi has issued an Emiri Decree restructuring the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry board for a new four-year term.

His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an Emiri Decree regarding the reconstitution of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).

According to the decree, Abdullah Sultan Mohammed Al Owais has been appointed Chairman of the Board. The newly formed board includes prominent business and community figures representing various sectors of the emirate’s economy.

The members of the Board are:

  1. Sheikh Majid bin Faisal bin Khalid Al Qasimi
  2. Ahmed Mohammed Obaid Eissa Al Naboodah
  3. Jamal Mohammed Sultan Binhuwaidin
  4. Halima Humaid Ali Al Owais
  5. Raghda Hamad Omran Taryam
  6. Ziad Mahmoud Khairalla Al Haji
  7. Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed Al Shehhi
  8. Abdulla Ibrahim Deaifis
  9. Obaid Awad Obaid Al Teneiji
  10. Ali Obaid Ali Obaid Al Zaabi
  11. Ali Mohamed Abdalla Al Khayyal
  12. Mohamed Rashid Ali Demas
  13. Mohamed Ali Marzook Binkamil
  14. Mohamed Hilal Al Hazami
  15. Nasir Musabeh Ahmed Al Tunaiji and
  16. Waleed Abdelrahman Bukhatir

The decree states that the Board members will serve a four-year term beginning from the date of formation. The term may be extended for one or more additional periods of the same duration.

It further stipulates that the Board will continue to carry out its responsibilities until the expiry of its term, and until a new Board is officially appointed. Members whose terms have ended may also be reappointed under the provisions of the decree.

The reconstitution of the SCCI Board reflects Sharjah’s continued focus on strengthening the emirate’s business environment and enhancing the private sector’s role in supporting sustainable economic growth.
