The special event, titled “Elle World,” was organized by Prime Video to honor Witherspoon’s beloved character Elle Woods, who became a pop culture sensation after the film’s release in 2001.

Witherspoon, 50, arrived in signature Elle Woods style wearing a pink off-the-shoulder satin Prada dress from the fashion house’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection. She completed the look with a matching pink clutch and Christian Louboutin heels in Vintage Rose.

Joining her on the red carpet was Selma Blair, who portrayed Vivian Kensington in the hit comedy. Blair wore a black-and-pink Tom Ford dress paired with Manolo Blahnik sandal heels.

Other cast members attending the celebration included Ali Larter and Jennifer Coolidge. Larter, who played fitness instructor Brooke Taylor Windham in the film, appeared in a black strapless dress with pink floral details and Giuseppe Zanotti heels.

Coolidge, famous for her role as nail technician Paulette Bonafonté, also drew attention in a leopard-print dress matched with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals.

Photos from the event showed the stars smiling together as fans celebrated the film’s enduring popularity. Actor Luke Wilson, who played Elle Woods’ love interest Emmett Richmond, was reportedly absent from the reunion.

Directed by Robert Luketic, “Legally Blonde” premiered in July 2001 and became a major commercial success, earning nearly $142 million worldwide at the box office, according to Box Office Mojo.

The film follows Elle Woods, a fashionable college student who enrolls at Harvard Law School to win back her former boyfriend, Warner Huntington III, played by Matthew Davis. During her journey, Elle discovers her own intelligence, confidence, and legal talent while helping defend Brooke Taylor Windham in a murder trial.

The success of the original movie led to the release of “Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde” in 2003.

Prime Video is now expanding the franchise with a prequel series titled “Elle,” featuring Lexi Minetree as a teenage Elle Woods. The series will explore Elle’s early life as she adjusts to a new city, friendships, and personal challenges before eventually becoming the confident lawyer fans know from the films.
