The fifth edition of the Khorfakkan Mango Festival is set to open on Friday at Expo Khorfakkan, featuring a vibrant showcase of premium mango varieties cultivated by local farms across the UAE.

Organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) in cooperation with the Municipal Council of Khorfakkan, Khorfakkan City Municipality, and Expo Khorfakkan, the festival will run for three days under the theme “Mango: Our Fruit, Our Wealth.”

The annual festival aims to support local farmers, productive families, and agribusinesses by offering a direct platform to market their agricultural products, including mangoes, citrus fruits, and other seasonal produce from Sharjah’s Eastern Region.

This year’s edition will feature five major competitions with cash prizes awarded to winners in all categories. Activities will begin on Friday with three headline contests: Mango Mazayna (Most Beautiful Mango), Largest Mango, and Best Mango Basket competition, designed for families.

Festival organizers announced that participants must submit their entries between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM on Friday. The program will continue on Saturday, June 27, with additional contests including the Children’s Mango Beauty Contest and the Best Innovative Idea or Mango-Based Project Competition.

According to organizers, all competitions will follow strict judging criteria to ensure fairness and transparency. Participants are required to present locally grown produce from their own farms or home gardens, along with official ownership documentation during registration.

Field inspections and verification visits will also be conducted by the judging committee for top-ranking winners to confirm compliance with competition regulations.

Beyond the competitions, the festival will host educational workshops focused on modern farming techniques, mango cultivation, and pest control management, helping farmers improve productivity and adopt advanced agricultural practices.

Visitors can also enjoy cultural and heritage activities, traditional folkloric performances, daily competitions, entertainment programs, and prize draws throughout the event.

The Khorfakkan Mango Festival 2026 will welcome visitors daily from 4:30 PM to 10:00 PM during its three-day run at Expo Khorfakkan.
