The Court of Sharjah Ruler Sheik Sultan has mourned the passing of Sheik Mohammed bin Salem Al Qasimi, brother of Deputy Ruler Sheik Abdullah bin Salem, with funeral prayers at King Faisal Mosque.

اِنَّا لِلّٰہِ وَاِنَّاۤ اِلَیۡہِ رٰجِعُوۡنَ
The Court of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has announced with deep sorrow the passing of Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem was the brother of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi.
He passed away on Friday, 29 Rabi Al Awwal 1448 AH, corresponding to September 11, 2026.
The Court of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah has extended its deepest condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased and to the entire Al Qasimi family, praying that God Almighty grant him mercy, accept him into Paradise, and grant his loved ones patience and comfort during this time of sorrow.
Funeral Arrangements
Funeral prayers for the late Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem will be held after Asr prayer at King Faisal Mosque in Sharjah. He will be laid to rest at Al Jubail Cemetery following the prayer.
Condolences and Mourning Period
An official three-day mourning period has been declared beginning Friday, September 11, 2026.
Condolences for men will be received at the residence of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, in the Al Badee suburb of Sharjah, starting Saturday and continuing for three days.
Condolence receiving hours are as follows. In the morning from 9:00 AM until Dhuhr prayer. In the evening from after Asr prayer until Maghrib prayer.
Condolences for women will be received at the deceased’s residence in the Al Tarfana area of Sharjah.
