The UAE Weather Update 46°C brings another hot and humid Friday, with temperatures expected to reach 46°C in parts of the country. Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi will also see high temperatures and increased humidity.

The National Center of Meteorology said Friday will be fair to partly cloudy. Some clouds may appear over eastern areas. Humidity will increase overnight and into Saturday morning, creating a chance of fog or mist in some coastal areas.

Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi Temperatures

Abu Dhabi is expected to reach 43°C, while Dubai could record 40°C. Sharjah may see temperatures of 41°C. Ras Al Khaimah and Al Ain could reach 43°C.

Liwa is expected to record the highest temperature of the day at 46°C. Fujairah will be cooler, with temperatures reaching around 35°C.

Humidity could reach 90 per cent in Dubai. Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah could see humidity levels of up to 85 per cent.

Winds will be light to moderate. They will initially blow from the southeast before shifting northwesterly. Wind speeds may range from 10 to 25kph and could reach 35kph at times.

The Arabian Gulf will remain slight, while conditions in the Oman Sea will be slight to moderate.

Fog Risk Expected Over The Weekend

The UAE Weather Update 46°C also highlights a continuing fog risk over the weekend. Saturday will remain fair to partly cloudy, with a chance of convective clouds over eastern areas during the afternoon.

Humidity will rise again on Saturday night and Sunday morning. Fog or mist could develop over some coastal and inland areas.

Winds may reach 40kph at times on Saturday. Sea conditions could also become moderate occasionally in both the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.

On Sunday, fair to partly cloudy weather will continue. Clouds may develop over eastern areas, while fog or mist could affect coastal and inland areas overnight and into Monday morning.

Monday is expected to remain fair to partly cloudy. Clouds may develop over eastern areas. Humidity will rise again overnight and into Tuesday morning across some coastal areas.

Residents and motorists should remain alert to changing visibility conditions, especially where fog or mist develops.
