Abu Dhabi Speed Limit Cut will reduce the speed limit on part of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Road (E311) from 120km/h to 100km/h. The new limit will start on Monday, September 14, 2026. Abu Dhabi Mobility announced the change as part of its latest traffic updates.

Which Part Of E311 Is Affected?
The change applies to a specific section of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Road. According to Abu Dhabi Mobility, it covers the area between the approaches around Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Street and Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street.
The speed limit on this section will fall from 120km/h to 100km/h. The Abu Dhabi Speed Limit Cut is intended to guide motorists through the updated traffic arrangements.

Temporary Lane Closure On E11
Abu Dhabi Mobility has also announced a temporary lane closure on Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Street (E11).
The two left lanes towards Al Shahama will be closed from 12am on Sunday, September 13. The closure will remain in place until 5am on Monday, September 14.
Motorists using the affected part of E11 should expect temporary changes in traffic movement. They have been advised to drive carefully and follow directional signs.
