UAE Gold and Currency: Gold Prices Rise Across All Carats as Exchange Rates Remain Stable

UAE Gold and Currency

UAE Gold and Currency markets opened with higher gold prices on July 22, 2026, while major exchange rates remained unchanged from the previous day. The latest figures show gains across all gold categories, offering important updates for shoppers, investors, and people planning to send money abroad. At the same time, the Indian rupee, Pakistani rupee, and Bangladeshi taka held steady against the UAE dirham.

The latest morning gold rates show increases across every carat compared with yesterday. The price of 24-carat gold reached Dh495.75 per gram, up from Dh492.00. 22-carat gold climbed to Dh459.00 per gram, compared with Dh455.50 a day earlier.

Meanwhile, 21-carat gold increased to Dh440.00 per gram, rising from Dh436.75 yesterday. 18-carat gold also moved higher to Dh377.25 per gram, compared with Dh374.50 previously. The price of 14-carat gold rose to Dh294.25 per gram, up from Dh292.00.

The rise across all carats reflects a stronger start to the day for the UAE gold market. Buyers looking for jewellery may notice slightly higher prices than yesterday. Investors also continue to watch daily movements in gold because the precious metal is often seen as a safe investment during changing market conditions.

The afternoon and evening gold prices have not been released yet. The current update includes only the morning rates for July 22. Any changes later in the day may affect buying and selling decisions across jewellery stores in the UAE.

UAE Gold and Currency updates also show that exchange rates remained stable during the morning session. There were no changes compared with yesterday for the three major South Asian currencies listed.

The Indian rupee (INR) stood at 26.1, with Dh38.31 for 1,000 Indian rupees. The rate is the same as yesterday, showing no movement in the morning session.

The Pakistani rupee (PKR) remained at 75.67, with Dh13.22 for 1,000 Pakistani rupees. The unchanged rate may provide some certainty for Pakistani expatriates planning to send money home today.

The Bangladeshi taka (BDT) also remained steady at 33.45, with Dh29.90 for 1,000 Bangladeshi taka. Like the other listed currencies, there was no change from the previous day’s rate.

Stable exchange rates can benefit people who regularly transfer money to their families. Since there has been no movement in these currencies, remittance costs linked to exchange rates remain predictable for now. However, rates can change during the day depending on market conditions.

Gold and currency updates are closely followed across the UAE because they directly affect jewellery purchases, investments, and international money transfers. Even small changes in gold prices can influence buying decisions, especially during busy shopping periods and festive seasons.

Today’s market opened with stronger gold prices across all available carats, while currency exchange values remained unchanged. Consumers planning to buy gold may compare prices throughout the day, as afternoon and evening updates could bring further changes.

For now, the morning data shows a positive move in gold prices and stable currency values. Anyone planning to purchase gold or exchange money should continue following daily market updates before making financial decisions.
