Sharjah Police released CCTV footage showing a sedan being driven recklessly at night. The vehicle crashed into a traffic island at a crossroads and knocked down a signboard.The impact sent the sedan across the traffic island and onto the main road, where it eventually stopped.
360 Casualties Linked To Distraction
According to Sharjah Police statistics, traffic accidents attributed to driver distraction caused 360 casualties in 2025. These included 22 deaths and 338 injuries.The injuries included 49 serious cases, 191 moderate injuries and 98 minor injuries. Police highlighted the figures as a warning about the serious consequences of losing concentration while driving.
