UAE residents can expect a UAE weather rain alert today, with fair to partly cloudy skies across the country. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said convective clouds may form over eastern and southern areas by afternoon, creating a chance of rain.

Dubai and Sharjah will remain hot despite the possibility of showers. Temperatures are expected to reach 43°C in Dubai and 44°C in Sharjah. Abu Dhabi could reach 42°C.
Rain And Cloudy Conditions
The weather may become more unsettled in eastern and southern parts of the UAE during the afternoon. Convective clouds could bring rainfall in some areas.
However, rain is not expected across the entire country. Residents should also be prepared for changing wind conditions, especially where clouds develop.
The UAE weather rain alert also includes a possibility of fog or mist. Humidity is expected to increase by night and continue into Friday morning. Fog or mist may form over some coastal and internal areas.
Dubai And Sharjah Temperatures
Dubai is expected to reach 43°C, while Sharjah could see temperatures of up to 44°C. Abu Dhabi may record a high of 42°C.
The lowest temperature is forecast at 34°C in Dubai and 31°C in both Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
The country recorded a much higher temperature on Wednesday. Mezaira in the Al Dhafra Region reached 47.4°C at 3:30pm.
Winds And Sea Conditions
Winds will initially be light to moderate and northwesterly. They are expected to become southeasterly later.
At times, winds could become fresh to strong, especially near cloud formations. Blowing dust may also occur in some areas.
Wind speeds are expected to range from 10 to 25kmph. They could reach up to 45kmph at times.
Sea conditions will remain slight to moderate in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
