UAE Weather Alert Today: Temperatures Hit 49°C as Dusty Winds Sweep Across the Country

UAE Weather Alert Today

UAE Weather Alert Today remains the main concern across the country as temperatures are expected to reach up to 49°C in inland areas on Wednesday. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said the weather will stay fair to partly cloudy, while fresh winds may cause blowing dust in some exposed locations.

According to the latest forecast, most parts of the UAE will experience hot summer conditions throughout the day. The weather will generally remain stable, with some clouds expected over eastern and northern regions. However, the combination of high temperatures and dusty winds could make outdoor conditions uncomfortable.

Coastal areas and islands are expected to record temperatures between 39°C and 44°C. Inland regions will be the hottest, with temperatures ranging from 44°C to 49°C. Mountain areas will be slightly cooler, with temperatures expected between 33°C and 38°C.

The NCM said southwesterly to northwesterly winds will blow at speeds of 10 to 25 kilometres per hour. At times, these winds may increase to around 40 kilometres per hour. As a result, dust and sand may be blown into the air, especially in open desert areas. This could reduce visibility for motorists and residents in affected locations.

The UAE Weather Alert Today also highlights sea conditions. The Arabian Gulf is expected to remain slight to moderate, while the Sea of Oman will stay slight. People planning marine activities are advised to monitor weather updates before heading out.

Humidity levels will continue during the night and early morning hours. This may make temperatures feel warmer in some coastal areas. Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated and avoid long periods of direct sun exposure, especially during peak afternoon hours.

Looking ahead, weather conditions are expected to remain similar over the next few days. Fair skies will dominate across the country, while patches of low clouds may appear over eastern regions during the morning. No major weather changes are expected in the short term.

Forecasters said winds will gradually shift direction during the coming days. On Thursday and Friday, winds are expected to become northwesterly before turning southeasterly. Wind speeds will range from 10 to 20 kilometres per hour during this period. By the weekend, winds may strengthen again, reaching up to 35 kilometres per hour in some areas.

Sea conditions are also forecast to remain mostly calm. The Arabian Gulf may become slight to moderate by Sunday, while the Sea of Oman is expected to stay slight. No significant marine disruptions have been forecast at this stage.

The UAE Weather Alert Today comes as the country continues to experience peak summer conditions. Experts say there is no significant drop in temperatures expected in the coming days. Hot weather and humidity will continue across much of the UAE.

Residents are advised to take precautions during outdoor activities. Drinking plenty of water, wearing light clothing, and limiting exposure to direct sunlight can help reduce the effects of extreme heat. Drivers should also remain cautious in areas affected by dust, where visibility may become lower than normal.

With temperatures approaching 49°C and dusty winds affecting parts of the country, the UAE is set for another very hot summer day. Authorities continue to monitor conditions and provide regular updates to keep residents informed.
