UAE heatwave alert: Temperatures set to hit 50°C in Abu Dhabi

The UAE is bracing for sweltering temperatures, with some areas expected to reach a scorching 50°C, especially in Abu Dhabi.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), Mezaira and Gasyoura in the UAE Capital could see the mercury rise to this extreme level. In contrast, Dubai’s temperatures are forecasted to peak at 41°C.

The NCM’s weather forecast predicts generally cloudy conditions with cumulus clouds forming over the eastern regions. Winds will vary from light to moderate, occasionally picking up speed and causing dust to stir.

Despite the intense heat, the sea conditions are expected to remain calm, with light waves in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
