Varun Dhawan bad proposal became a talking point after the actor shared a funny story about proposing to his wife Natasha Dalal. During a recent appearance on comedian Tanmay Bhat’s YouTube channel, Varun revealed that his proposal plans failed many times because the timing never worked properly.
The actor said he planned a romantic proposal in Alibaug. He wanted to propose to Natasha in a swimming pool while playing the song You Sang to Me by Marc Anthony. Varun shared that he stepped out of the pool to get the ring, but Natasha had already walked away before he could propose.
Talking about the moment, Varun admitted that things did not go like Bollywood films. He said there is no such thing as a perfect proposal in real life. According to him, every attempt went wrong because the timing was always off.
Varun Dhawan bad proposal story became even more funny when he revealed that he asked his friends to help him. He told them to keep Natasha in one place so he could finally propose properly. However, Natasha kept moving around to get drinks and food, which made the plan difficult again.
The actor also shared that Natasha eventually understood what was happening before he could officially ask the question. Varun joked that he had to play the romantic song three times in a row.
Varun and Natasha were childhood friends before falling in love. The couple got married in January 2021 in an intimate wedding ceremony attended by close friends and family. Meanwhile, Varun is currently enjoying the theatrical run of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.
