Non-specialised bachelor’s degree holders will also qualify for the rank of Warrant Officer.

The amendments further provide that holders of a three-year diploma will receive the rank of First Sergeant, while holders of a two-year diploma will be granted the rank of Sergeant.

Personnel with a Certificate of Achievement will be awarded the rank of First Corporal, while Grade 12 graduates will receive the rank of Corporal. Those who completed Grades 10 or 11 will be promoted to First Constable, while personnel with Grade 9 education or below will hold the rank of Policeman.
