Armed Man Shot and Killed After Entering Perimeter Around Trump’s Florida Home

An armed man was shot and killed by law enforcement after entering a restricted security perimeter surrounding the Florida residence of former U.S. President Donald Trump, authorities confirmed. The incident occurred near the heavily guarded property, prompting an immediate response from federal agents and local police.

According to officials, security personnel detected the individual approaching the outer boundary of the secured area and issued verbal commands ordering him to stop. When the man allegedly failed to comply and continued moving toward the protected zone while carrying a weapon, officers opened fire. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.

Trump was not harmed during the encounter, and authorities said there was no ongoing threat to residents in the area. The former president’s property is routinely monitored by the U.S. Secret Service, which maintains strict security measures around current and former presidents.

Investigators have not yet publicly identified the suspect, and details about a possible motive remain unclear. Law enforcement agencies are reviewing surveillance footage, forensic evidence, and witness statements as part of the ongoing investigation. Officials also said they are examining whether the individual acted alone and how he gained access to the perimeter.

The shooting briefly led to road closures and increased patrols in the surrounding neighborhood as a precaution. Nearby residents were advised to remain indoors while officers secured the area.

The Secret Service released a statement emphasizing that protective protocols functioned as intended and thanked local authorities for their assistance. The agency noted that security procedures are designed to respond quickly to potential threats in order to protect designated individuals and the public.

Authorities are expected to release additional details once the investigation progresses and next of kin are notified.
