At 8:56 am, 24K gold reached Dh532 per gram, up from Dh528.25 on Wednesday. This means the 24K price increased by Dh3.75 in one day.
The 22K rate also climbed. It reached Dh492.50 per gram, compared with Dh489.25 a day earlier. That is an increase of Dh3.25 today.
Gold Prices Rise In UAE
The increase continues a strong start to September. On September 1, 24K gold stood at Dh522 per gram. It then rose to Dh528.25 on September 2 before reaching Dh532 today.
The 22K rate also gained steadily. It moved from Dh483.25 on September 1 to Dh489.25 on September 2 and Dh492.50 on September 3.
Other gold rates also moved higher. 21K gold rose to Dh472.25 per gram, while 18K gold reached Dh404.75.
Why Gold Prices Are Rising
Dubai gold prices today are being supported by a recovery in international gold markets. Global gold recently fell towards $4,285 an ounce after reaching nearly $4,700 in late August.
Gold has since recovered and moved back above $4,400. Lower US Treasury yields and a weaker dollar have helped reduce pressure on the precious metal.
Weaker US employment data has also supported gold. US private-sector employers added 38,000 jobs in August, below the expected 48,000.
What UAE Buyers Should Know
Gold prices remain sensitive to US economic data, inflation and Federal Reserve interest-rate decisions. Geopolitical uncertainty in the Middle East is also influencing market sentiment.
For UAE shoppers, today’s increase means a 10-gram purchase of 24K gold costs about Dh5,320 before making charges. A 10-gram purchase of 22K gold costs about Dh4,925 before additional charges.
With prices continuing to move higher, buyers may want to monitor the market closely before making their next purchase.
