UAE weather forecast today: Rain Chance Returns as Temperatures Reach 48°C Across the Emirates

UAE weather forecast today

UAE weather forecast today says parts of the country could see rain as temperatures rise to 48°C. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) expects convective clouds to form over eastern, western, and some inland areas. While the weather will stay very hot, some places may receive light showers later in the day. Stronger winds could also raise dust in affected areas.

The National Centre of Meteorology said the UAE will experience partly cloudy weather on Wednesday. Convective clouds are expected to develop during the afternoon. These clouds may spread across eastern, western, and some inland regions, increasing the chance of rainfall. Although rain is possible, high temperatures will remain the main weather feature across the country.

According to the forecast, inland areas will record daytime temperatures between 43°C and 48°C. Coastal areas and islands are expected to see temperatures ranging from 37°C to 42°C. Mountain regions will be slightly cooler, with temperatures between 31°C and 37°C. Residents are advised to avoid long periods outdoors during the hottest part of the day.

The weather department also said winds will blow from the southeast to the northeast. They will be light to moderate most of the time. However, winds may become stronger during cloud activity. Wind speeds could reach up to 45 km/h in inland and mountain areas. As a result, blowing dust may reduce visibility in some places.

People driving in dusty conditions should remain careful, especially in open areas where strong winds are expected. Reduced visibility can affect road safety, so motorists should slow down and keep a safe distance from other vehicles.

UAE weather forecast today also shows that sea conditions will stay calm. Both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to remain slight. This is good news for fishermen and those planning marine activities, although everyone should continue to follow official weather updates before heading out.

Looking ahead, the NCM expects fair to partly cloudy weather through Sunday. There is also a chance of more convective cloud formation over eastern areas during the afternoons. These clouds could bring scattered rainfall in some locations. The weather pattern suggests that unstable afternoon conditions may continue over the coming days.

Even with the chance of rain, humidity and heat will continue across many parts of the UAE. Residents should drink enough water, wear light clothing, and avoid direct sunlight whenever possible. Those working outdoors should take regular breaks and follow heat safety advice.

Weather conditions can change quickly during the summer, especially when convective clouds develop. Therefore, residents are encouraged to monitor official forecasts for the latest updates before making travel or outdoor plans.

The UAE weather forecast today highlights a mix of extreme heat and possible rainfall. While temperatures may climb to 48°C in inland areas, some regions could also experience showers later in the day. At the same time, fresh winds may create dusty conditions, making it important for residents to stay informed and take necessary precautions. The National Centre of Meteorology will continue to monitor the weather and provide updates as conditions develop.
