Etihad Rail Day Trip is now one of the easiest ways to travel from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah. The UAE’s national passenger rail service now operates three daily trips between the two emirates, making weekend travel simple and comfortable. Passengers can book tickets online or through the Etihad Rail mobile app up to four weeks in advance.
There are three ticket options: Saver, Value, and Flex. Introductory fares start from Dh55 for Comfort Class and Dh120 for Premium Class. Children aged 2 to 17 and seniors aged 60 and above receive discounted fares. Travelers should arrive at the station at least 20 minutes before departure with their ticket and Emirates ID or passport.
The Abu Dhabi station in Mohamed bin Zayed City offers free parking, taxi pick-up points, bicycle parking, and a Dh10 shuttle service to selected locations. Trains leave Abu Dhabi at 8:19am, 1:53pm, and 6:39pm. Return services from Fujairah operate at 5:34am, 10:59am, and 5:28pm.
An Etihad Rail Day Trip gives visitors around seven hours to explore Fujairah when taking the first train and returning on the last one. Umbrella Beach Corniche and Sakamkam Fort are located close to the railway station. Visitors can also travel to Bidyah Mosque, the country’s oldest surviving mosque, and the popular Snoopy Island for water activities.
Adventure lovers can visit Fujairah Adventure Park, while shoppers can stop at the famous Friday Market in Masafi for fruits, carpets, antiques, and souvenirs. With convenient train schedules and easy access to major attractions, the Etihad Rail Day Trip offers a relaxing and enjoyable way to discover Fujairah from Abu Dhabi.
