Salman Khan Pays Tribute To Kuku Kohli
Salman Khan mourns Kuku Kohli in a heartfelt post shared on X on Wednesday. He remembered the filmmaker and sent strength to Aruna Irani during the difficult time.
Salman wrote, “Rest in peace Kuki ji, Aruna ji, my heart goes out to you. May God give u strength.” His message came after several Bollywood stars attended Kuku Kohli’s funeral to pay their final respects.
Kuku Kohli is survived by Aruna Irani. He also had two children, Pooja and Karishma, from his first marriage to Rita Kohli.
Kuku Kohli And Ajay Devgn’s Bollywood Connection
Kuku Kohli played an important role in Ajay Devgn’s early career. He directed Phool Aur Kaante, which marked Ajay’s Bollywood debut in 1991.
The film became a major box-office success. Ajay Devgn also won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for his performance. The movie helped establish him as an action star.
Ajay later paid tribute to Kuku Kohli on social media. He said the filmmaker had changed the course of his life and expressed gratitude for the faith Kohli showed in him.
Kuku Kohli Death And Funeral
Kuku Kohli was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on Monday, August 24, after feeling unwell. According to Aruna Irani’s brother Balraj Irani, Kohli was talking with family members when he suddenly suffered a massive heart attack and collapsed.
Doctors tried to revive him, but he was declared dead at around 5 pm.
Kuku Kohli’s cremation took place around noon on Wednesday, August 26. Aruna Irani appeared emotional as she said goodbye to her husband.
Several Bollywood celebrities attended the funeral, including Rohit Shetty, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Sham Kaushal and Ashoke Pandit.
Kuku Kohli’s Film Career
Apart from Phool Aur Kaante, Kuku Kohli directed films such as Kohraam, Suhaag, Anari No. 1, Haqeeqat and Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa. His last directorial film, Woh Tera Naam Tha, was released in 2004.
