UK estate linked to Imran Khan and Jemima Goldsmith listed for £25 million

A historic English mansion closely associated with former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan and his former wife, Jemima Goldsmith, has been placed on the market for £25 million, attracting renewed interest from Pakistanis living abroad, including the large South Asian community in the UAE.

Located on Ham Common in Richmond, Surrey, Ormeley Lodge is a Grade II-listed early Georgian residence spanning 15,814 square feet. The property features 10 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, landscaped gardens, and a swimming pool, and it borders the scenic Richmond Park and Ham Common Woods Nature Reserve.

Beyond its architectural appeal, the estate is remembered as the home where Khan and Goldsmith lived after their 1995 marriage. It is also widely associated with the early years of Khan’s political journey, with accounts suggesting that discussions related to the formation of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) took place at the property during the party’s formative years.

According to reports, a private annex within the estate served as Khan’s personal space, where he met members of the Pakistani diaspora, professionals, and supporters during the early stages of building his political movement.

The listing has sparked nostalgia among many Pakistanis overseas. UK-based businessman Shahid Malik, who was involved in connecting members of the British Pakistani community with Khan during those years, said he was saddened to see the property come onto the market. He expressed hope that a supporter with the financial means might one day preserve the estate because of its historical significance.

Khan and Goldsmith divorced in 2004 after nine years of marriage but have continued to publicly express mutual respect. They share two sons, Sulaiman and Kasim.

Situated about 10 miles from central London, the property combines period architecture with modern amenities and occupies one of southwest London’s most sought-after residential locations.

For many members of the Pakistani diaspora across the UAE and the UK, Ormeley Lodge represents more than a luxury residence. It recalls a chapter in Pakistan’s modern political history, as well as the personal story of one of the country’s most prominent public figures.

While some supporters have suggested the estate could one day become a museum dedicated to Khan’s political legacy, no such proposal has been announced, and the property is currently being offered for sale as a private residence.

With its rich history, prestigious location, and connection to one of Pakistan’s most recognisable personalities, Ormeley Lodge is expected to attract significant international interest from luxury property buyers.
