Dubai luxury hotel acquisition is making headlines after AHS Properties bought the famous Shangri-La Dubai hotel for Dhs1.1bn. The deal was confirmed by Abbas Sajwani, founder and CEO of AHS Properties. The luxury developer said the hotel’s prime location on Sheikh Zayed Road was the main reason behind the purchase.
The Shangri-La Dubai hotel opened in 2003 and is known as one of Dubai’s best hospitality landmarks. The tower offers clear views of Burj Khalifa and the Arabian Gulf. Sajwani said the location cannot be replaced because it sits in the center of the city and connects key business and lifestyle areas.
This Dubai luxury hotel acquisition also strengthens AHS Properties’ growing presence on Sheikh Zayed Road. The company already has projects like AHS Tower and the upcoming AHS City development. Sajwani said Dubai continues to attract investors because of its strong economy, safe environment, luxury lifestyle, and investor-friendly visa policies.
Shangri-La Group confirmed that hotel operations will continue normally after the ownership change. The company said guests and partners can expect the same level of service and hospitality.
Sajwani also shared that owning the hotel is a proud moment for him because the property has been part of Dubai for more than 20 years. He described it as a historic asset with long-term value.
Founded in 2021, AHS Properties has quickly become a major name in Dubai real estate. The Company focuses on ultra-luxury developments in top areas including Palm Jumeirah and Emirates Hills.
