The Sharjah Council committee visit to the Sharjah Noble Quran & Sunnah Establishment (SNQSE) highlighted the institution’s key role in serving the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah. The Sharjah Council committee visit took place during the third ordinary session of the 11th legislative term of the Sharjah Consultative Council. It aimed to review programmes that promote Quranic sciences, Islamic values, and community awareness across Sharjah.
The committee was welcomed by Sultan Mattar bin Dalmooj Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, along with Omar Al Shamsi, the Director of the Establishment. The delegation was led by Sheikha Ali Al Naqbi. Members included Kulthoum Saif Al Tunaiji, Dr Ahmed Saleh Al Naqbi, and Sheikha Al Dhaneen Al Naqbi. Representatives from the Council’s General Secretariat were also present.
During the meeting, officials explained the institution’s mission and vision. The establishment was founded under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah. Its goal is to serve the Holy Quran, its sciences, and the Sunnah through structured education. It also runs community initiatives, Quran competitions, and specialised awards that encourage moderation and understanding.
The Sharjah Council committee visit also reviewed achievements and ongoing projects. These included Quran memorisation circles held across Sharjah and annual Quranic awards organised throughout the year. Officials shared statistics that reflected strong community participation.
Discussions focused on strengthening support for Quranic programmes for all age groups. Special attention was given to children and youth. These efforts aim to improve reading, memorisation, and correct recitation. They also support moral growth and cultural identity.
