Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work

The Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work Board has been formed following an administrative decision issued by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. The decision establishes a new Board of Trustees to oversee the award and support voluntary work in the emirate.

The Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work Board will be chaired by Her Excellency Mariam Majid Al Shamsi. Fatima Mousa Abdulrahman Al Blooshi has been appointed as Secretary-General.

The Board also includes Dr Musabah Saeed Belajid Al Ketbi, Dr Saeed Sultan bin Dalmook, Humaid Ali Al Abbar Al Shamsi, Sultan Mohammed Abdullah Al Khayal, Ahmed Khalfan Al Fandi Al Shamsi, and Maryam Saeed Obaid Al Muhairi.

According to the decision, the Board will allocate administrative positions among its members during its first meeting. It can also establish committees and working groups when needed.

These groups may include Board members or other individuals. Their role will be to help the Board complete its responsibilities and support the work of the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work.

The Board’s membership term will last for three years. The term can be renewed for one or more similar periods.

After the term ends, the Board will continue its duties until a new Board is formed. Members whose terms have expired can also be appointed again.

The decision highlights Sharjah’s continued focus on organised voluntary work and community participation. The new Board will oversee the award’s responsibilities and help support its activities across the emirate.
