Global Rail 2025 Abu Dhabi continued to attract strong attention as H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan toured the exhibition. He is Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs and Chairman of Etihad Rail.
The event, hosted by Etihad Rail, is the region’s largest transport and mobility exhibition. It is being held at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre until 2 October under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister.
Sheikh Theyab visited pavilions of global rail leaders including Alstom, CRRC, Hitachi Rail, Siemens, Progress Rail, and Talgo/Hassan Allam. He praised their projects and stressed that collaboration is key to shaping the future of mobility.
Agreements were signed between Etihad Rail and major partners such as the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, Masdar, VIA, United Trans, and Yango. These partnerships aim to boost innovation and strengthen the UAE’s role as a hub for global transport dialogue.
During day two of Global Rail 2025 Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Theyab honoured sponsors and partners, including ADIO, DP World, RTA, Emirates NBD, and First Abu Dhabi Bank, for their support.
The exhibition also launched the Global Rail Youth Hackathon, where over 200 students will design solutions for the future of infrastructure. Panel discussions covered themes such as high-speed rail, sustainable financing, AI, and automation.
Held under the theme Driving the Future of Transport and Enhancing Global Connectivity, Global Rail 2025 Abu Dhabi demonstrates the UAE’s growing role in advancing smart, sustainable transport.
