Pakistani startup Myco has achieved a historic milestone by winning the grand finale of Tim Draper’s “Meet the Drapers” global startup reality show, securing PKR 420 million (USD 1.5 million) in investment and a SaaS business deal. This marks the first time a Pakistani-origin startup reached the finale of the Silicon Valley competition, placing Pakistan on the global startup map with unprecedented recognition.
Myco’s success followed extensive due diligence after the April 2025 finale recording in California. The outcome included a $500,000 investment and a $1 million SaaS service contract, making Myco the top-performing startup of Season 9. The initiative began with PakLaunch, whose founder Aly Fahd convinced Tim Draper to feature Pakistani startups in October 2024. Out of 2,000 startups worldwide, Myco emerged as the most voted global finalist and an audience favorite.
Venture capitalist Tim Draper, known for early investments in Tesla, SpaceX, Skype, and Coinbase, endorsed Myco as a future leader in decentralized, Web3-powered streaming. Draper stated that Myco combines storytelling, sports culture, and blockchain economics to shape the future of entertainment.
Pakistani startup Myco has rapidly grown, achieving 20 million users in 18 months, 100 million monthly video impressions, and an active presence in over 100 countries. The platform holds major sports broadcasting rights, including ICC, PCB, PSL, English Premier League, MMA, and more. Backed by Aptos Labs, Myco plans to launch a decentralized content economy enabling users to earn and own digital content assets.
With fresh funding and strategic partnerships, Myco aims to expand across North America, MENA, and South Asia, targeting 50 million users by the end of 2025, further cementing Pakistan’s role in the global digital economy.
