Sheikha Bodour Order Merit marks another important milestone in strengthening cultural relations between the UAE and Italy. Her Highness Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Book Authority, has been awarded the Officer rank of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
The honour was presented by the President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella. It is Italy’s highest order of merit. She received the award in recognition of her long-standing efforts to strengthen cultural ties between the UAE and Italy through publishing, books, literature, and cultural exchange.
