Sharjah employment plan 2026

Sharjah employment plan 2026 has been approved by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. The new plan will create 3,000 job opportunities for Sharjah citizens in government entities during 2026. The initiative aims to support Emirati employment and provide more career opportunities for local talent.

Under the plan, 650 new employees will be hired by June 18, 2026. In addition, appointment procedures are being completed for 200 vacancies. Another 650 positions will be filled by July 31, 2026. From August to December 2026, 1,500 more jobs will be created. These steps will bring the total number of opportunities under the Sharjah employment plan 2026 to 3,000 jobs.

The Sharjah Ruler also approved the promotion of 1,864 employees working in government agencies. The annual cost of these promotions is AED 45.5 million. Furthermore, the status of 125 employees who earned higher academic qualifications will be adjusted. This measure will cost up to AED 5 million annually.

Another important part of the Sharjah employment plan 2026 is training and qualification. The Sharjah Programme for Qualifying and Training Job Seekers will support 410 citizens between July and December 2026. The programme will provide total rewards of AED 14.76 million.

This employment initiative reflects Sharjah’s commitment to creating jobs, supporting career growth, and developing the skills of its citizens. The plan is expected to strengthen the workforce and provide better opportunities for Emirati job seekers across the emirate.
