Indian Idol 16 Winner Jyotirmayee Nayak has won the popular singing reality show after an impressive 10-month journey. The 24-year-old singer from Odisha lifted the trophy and received a cash prize of Rs 20 lakh. She became the first contestant from Odisha to win the competition. Tanishk Shukla from Jabalpur finished as the first runner-up.
The grand finale featured the top finalists, including Anshika Chonkar, Manraj Veer Singh, Myscmme Bosu, and Suhail Sufi. The season was judged by Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani, and Badshah. The show’s theme, Yaadon Ki Playlist, was well received by viewers and even earned two extensions during the season.
Speaking after her victory, Indian Idol 16 Winner Jyotirmayee Nayak said she never focused on the prize money. Her goal was to perform well and receive positive feedback from the judges. She said she would now decide how to use the Rs 20 lakh reward.
Jyotirmayee also shared that she previously worked as a music therapist, using singing to support cancer patients. She believes their blessings played an important role in her success. According to her, many patients encouraged her to appear on a platform like Indian Idol and celebrated her achievement.
The Indian Idol 16 Winner hopes to begin a career as a playback singer in Bollywood. During the finale, special guests including Usha Uthup, Udit Narayan, Papon, Kumar Sanu, Shehnaaz Gill, and Urmila Matondkar joined the celebrations. The show originally premiered in October 2025 and concluded with Jyotirmayee Nayak’s memorable victory.
