Hyderabad: Man Arrested After Allegedly Killing Ex-Wife Following Online Tracking

Police in Hyderabad have arrested a man accused of murdering his former wife after allegedly tracking her movements online and forcing entry into her residence, authorities confirmed.

According to investigators, the suspect had been separated from the victim for some time following ongoing domestic disputes. Officers say he monitored her social media activity to determine her location before confronting her at her home. The situation escalated into a violent altercation during which the woman suffered fatal injuries.

Neighbors alerted authorities after hearing distress and unusual noise coming from the residence. Emergency responders arrived shortly afterward, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect was taken into custody within hours.

Police officials stated that preliminary findings suggest premeditation, and multiple charges — including murder and unlawful entry — have been registered. Investigators are also examining digital evidence, including online communication and location tracking activity, as part of the case.

The incident has reignited concerns about cyber-stalking and domestic violence, particularly involving former partners. Experts say digital monitoring, harassment and intimidation often precede physical attacks in abusive relationships, highlighting the need for early reporting and protective measures.

Authorities have urged individuals facing threats from former partners to seek help immediately and report harassment, whether online or offline. Support organizations and helplines are available to assist victims and provide protection resources.

The case remains under investigation, and officials say further legal proceedings will follow in accordance with the law.
