FIFA World Cup 2026 Ticket Sales to Open in September

FIFA has announced that the official ticketing programme for the FIFA World Cup 2026 will begin in September, marking a major milestone in the countdown to the biggest edition of the tournament to date. The highly anticipated event will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, featuring an expanded format with 48 teams competing across multiple cities.

According to FIFA, the ticketing process will be rolled out in phases to ensure fair access for fans worldwide. These phases are expected to include random selection draws, first-come-first-served sales, and last-minute ticket releases closer to the tournament. Fans will be required to create and register a FIFA ID to participate in the ticket application process.

The governing body urged supporters to purchase tickets only through official FIFA platforms, warning against unauthorized sellers and resale websites. Further details regarding match schedules, host cities, pricing categories, and hospitality packages will be released gradually in the coming months.

With demand expected to be exceptionally high, FIFA emphasized the importance of early registration and staying updated through official channels. The 2026 edition is set to be the largest World Cup in history, both in scale and global reach, promising an unforgettable experience for football fans around the world.

The tournament will kick off in June 2026, with millions of supporters expected to travel across North America to witness the historic event.
