Dubai has unveiled an innovative wellbeing solution designed to help residents reduce stress and restore emotional balance in just three minutes, the ‘Tawazun Pod’ Showcased by the Dubai Health Authority at the World Health Expo 2026, this immersive pod experience aims to provide quick mental refreshment in busy public spaces throughout the city.
The Tawazun Pod — named after the Arabic word for “balance” — combines sensory technology, colour psychology and guided breathing techniques to create a calming environment for users. Participants entering the pod can choose from three personalised experiences: Boost Me, Calm Me or Ground Me, depending on their emotional needs at the time. Each three-minute session uses soft lighting, therapeutic soundscapes and fresh scents, along with an AI-generated audio-visual interface offering gentle affirmations.
Dr Maryam Al Mheiri, spokesperson for the Public Health Protection Department at the DHA, highlighted that the pod was developed to address everyday stress experienced at workplaces, shopping centres and other public areas. Early pilot testing and user feedback were used to refine the design and ensure it delivers real emotional benefit.
Officials say the Tawazun Pods are planned for wider deployment later this year, with proposed installations in malls, government offices, workplaces and other community hubs. The initiative is part of Dubai’s broader Mental Wealth Initiative, aimed at integrating accessible mental health support into everyday life and improving overall quality of life for residents.
