AUS Fall 2025 Commencement marked a special day for 419 students who graduated from the American University of Sharjah (AUS). The ceremony took place at University City Hall in Sharjah. Her Highness Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of AUS, attended the event. Families, faculty, and guests joined to celebrate this milestone.

The AUS Fall 2025 Commencement focused on more than just academics. Her Highness Sheikha Bodour congratulated the graduates. She said AUS teaches independent thinking, resilience, and purposeful living. She praised the graduates for their dedication and encouraged them to contribute to Sharjah, the UAE, and the world.

Chancellor Dr Tod Laursen spoke about how the class adapted and grew during global challenges. He highlighted AUS’s mission to produce ethical, critical-thinking leaders. The guest speaker, Tunisian tennis star Ons Jabeur, shared her story of perseverance. She encouraged students to believe in themselves and use success to inspire others.

International studies graduate Alia Ahli gave the student address titled “Shaped by Challenges.” She reflected on how AUS experiences helped students see challenges as opportunities. The Fall 2025 graduating class included 87 graduate and 332 undergraduate students. They represented 38 nationalities, including 142 UAE nationals. Graduates came from the Colleges of Architecture, Art and Design; Arts and Sciences; Business Administration; and Engineering.

With AUS Fall 2025 Commencement complete, graduates now join a global alumni network. They are ready to make a meaningful impact in their fields. The event highlighted AUS’s legacy of academic excellence, innovation, and leadership.
