Alef Group and AUS have signed a four-year scholarship agreement to help more students access quality higher education in the UAE. The new partnership will provide full undergraduate scholarships at the American University of Sharjah (AUS). The program supports talented students with financial need and encourages academic excellence across different fields.
The agreement begins in Fall 2026 and will run for four years. Under the program, Alef Group will fund full-time undergraduate scholarships through a university-managed fund. The scholarships will cover tuition fees and lab fees for eligible students. They will be offered across the university’s four academic colleges and schools.
As part of the agreement, 50 percent of the scholarships will be awarded to Emirati students. This reflects the shared goal of developing national talent and creating more opportunities for future leaders. The initiative also builds on the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two organizations in November 2025.
Alef Group and AUS said the partnership highlights the importance of investing in education to support long-term social and economic growth. Alef Group CEO Raed Kajoor Al Nuaimi said the company believes sustainable development begins with investing in people and helping talented students achieve their goals.
AUS Chancellor Dr. Tod A. Laursen said strong partnerships with organizations like Alef Group help expand access to education and support the development of skilled graduates. He added that the agreement creates meaningful opportunities for students. While contributing to Sharjah’s vision of a knowledge-based and future-ready society.
The Alef Group and AUS scholarship agreement reflects a shared commitment to educational excellence, student success. And the future of higher education in Sharjah and the UAE.
