His Highness Sultan bin Ahmed Reviews the latest progress of Sharjah’s media sector during a Sharjah Media Council meeting. The meeting took place at the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority headquarters. He praised the achievements of media institutions and their role in presenting Sharjah’s cultural, social, and development success. He also stressed the importance of improving media quality and keeping pace with changes in the industry.

During the meeting, Sultan bin Ahmed Reviews plans to strengthen cooperation among media institutions. He called for better coordination to produce responsible and high-quality media content. The Council discussed development plans for television programmes and digital media to meet public expectations and support Sharjah’s position as a leading media hub.

The Council also reviewed its 2026 strategic performance report. It compared annual goals with current results and assessed important areas such as Emiratisation, employee training, innovation, media engagement, partnerships, and investment. The report also examined digital growth, operational performance, and content quality to improve the competitiveness of Sharjah’s media sector.

The Sharjah Broadcasting Authority presented its latest report on the digital video library, production work, revenues, and technology projects. It also highlighted the increasing demand for digital content and the importance of preserving educational and official events through modern platforms.

The Sharjah Government Media Bureau shared its future vision, including an AI-powered platform that analyses news content and tracks performance through digital dashboards. Shams also reported strong second-quarter growth, with more projects, partnerships, and investments supporting sustainable media development. The meeting concluded with senior officials discussing future plans to further strengthen Sharjah’s growing media sector.
