The UAE cultural vision Beijing initiative was highlighted as the United Arab Emirates launched its participation as Guest of Honour at the 32nd Beijing International Book Fair. The event is taking place at the China National Convention Centre in Beijing from 17 to 21 June 2026. The participation is organised by the UAE Embassy in Beijing and the Ministry of Culture. It reflects the strong cultural partnership between the UAE and China.

Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Culture, said that knowledge has become a key driver of development and competitiveness. He explained that the UAE continues to invest in a strong knowledge ecosystem that supports creativity, innovation, and cultural growth. The country also aims to preserve its national identity while expanding its global cultural presence.

The UAE cultural vision Beijing participation showcases the country’s values of openness, tolerance, and coexistence. The UAE pavilion, known as the “UAE House,” was inaugurated by Ambassador Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi. The pavilion features cultural projects, academic contributions, and important national publications.

The Minister noted that modern book fairs are more than places to display books. They are global platforms for exchanging ideas and discussing the future of culture and publishing. Through this event, the UAE presents its achievements in culture, knowledge, and creative industries.

Ambassador Al Hammadi said the Guest of Honour status marks an important step in UAE-China relations. He added that cultural and literary cooperation has increased through joint events and knowledge-sharing initiatives. These efforts have helped introduce Emirati culture to Chinese audiences.

The UAE cultural vision Beijing theme also highlights the role of culture and creativity in sustainable development. The UAE continues to support publishers, writers, and creators while strengthening its position as a global hub for cultural exchange and innovation.
