The event runs from May 4 to May 7. It is organized by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology. The goal is to support local industry, innovation, and economic growth.

This UAE maritime heritage showcase connects tradition with modern industry. It shows how old skills still inspire new ideas. Sharjah Maritime Museum is leading the display. It shares the story of life at sea in the UAE. This includes fishing, pearl diving, and trade.

Visitors can see many traditional tools. These include compasses, astrolabes, and sundials. There are also pearl diving tools like scales and diving gear. The famous pearl chest, Al Bishtakhta, is also displayed. Fishing tools such as nets and hooks are part of the exhibition.

The event also shows models of old boats. These include Al Shahuf, Al Boum, and Al Sanbuk. These boats were important for transport, fishing, and trade. They show how boat building developed in the region.

Live demonstrations are another key part. Visitors can watch pearl oyster opening and net weaving. There is also a display of how the Al Shasha boat is made from palm leaves.

A special panel will discuss the role of women in pearl diving communities. It will highlight their support and contribution to family life and heritage.

Overall, the UAE maritime heritage showcase shows how tradition supports creativity, learning, and future growth.
