Abu Dhabi/Dubai — UAE leadership held a series of high-level meetings with Elon Musk, underscoring the country’s growing role as a global hub for advanced technology, artificial intelligence, and future innovation.
On Sunday, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, met with Musk in Abu Dhabi, where discussions focused on the rapid evolution of advanced technologies and artificial intelligence, and how these innovations can be harnessed to enhance quality of life and drive global progress.

The meeting emphasised the strategic importance of international partnerships, collaboration, and knowledge exchange in accelerating the adoption of cutting-edge solutions. Leaders highlighted how cooperation between nations and specialised institutions is critical to navigating future challenges and enabling sustainable digital transformation.
The Abu Dhabi meeting was attended by several senior UAE leaders, including Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and other ministers and senior officials.
Dubai meeting highlights innovation vision
In a continuation of these engagements, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence, met with Musk at his majlis in Nad Al Sheba late Sunday. The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance.

The discussions in Dubai explored global technological transformations and the role of emerging solutions in advancing comprehensive and sustainable development. Leaders reviewed how innovation, forward-looking policies, and strong partnerships can help overcome complex global challenges and shape a more prosperous future.
The meeting highlighted the UAE and Dubai’s emergence as leading global destinations for technology and innovation, supported by advanced digital infrastructure, progressive legislative frameworks, and incentives designed to attract specialised talent and expertise.

Musk praises UAE’s forward-looking vision
Musk, who leads companies including Tesla, SpaceX, Starlink, and X, praised the UAE’s long-term vision and its achievements in artificial intelligence, technology, and space exploration.
