Sharjah unified media hub is the focus of a major new development approved by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi. The project marks a new milestone for the Emirate’s growing media sector. It brings together key government media entities in one advanced space. The Sharjah unified media hub will support better coordination and strengthen the Emirate’s media presence.
The project is part of the leadership’s vision to modernise media work. It reflects the support of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi and the supervision of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi. Their goal is to build a media system that is strong, creative, and future-ready.
A major part of the plan is the launch of Shams Studios. This facility will include five world-class studios sized between 1,500 and 3,400 square metres. These studios will support film, drama, and digital content. They will also include advanced editing, sound design, and visual effects rooms.
Another key project is the integrated government media business complex. It will host the Sharjah Media Council, the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, and media companies in one place. The complex will include four buildings designed to help teamwork, productivity, and innovation.
A new headquarters for the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority is also planned. It will feature a modern news building, an administrative building, and a facility for Sharjah Sports Channel. This upgrade will help the Authority deliver high-quality content with the latest technology.
The Shams Creative Oasis will support culture and talent. It will include a 700-seat theatre, event spaces, and training facilities. It aims to empower young creators and strengthen community engagement.
