The Sharjah innovation ecosystem is growing stronger under the leadership of Bodour Al Qasimi, President of the American University of Sharjah. The Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP) has rebranded as SPARK, marking a new chapter in driving creativity, research, and sustainable growth across the emirate.
During SPARK’s 5th Board of Directors meeting in Aljada, Bodour Al Qasimi highlighted that the rebrand reflects Sharjah’s bold vision to become a global hub for innovation. SPARK aims to be a catalyst that connects ideas, collaboration, and economic progress.
Through new partnerships with Emirates Health Services, Sharjah Health Authority, BEEAH Group, and Roche Diagnostics Middle East, SPARK is expanding its leadership in healthcare innovation. These collaborations show how the Sharjah innovation ecosystem is translating research into real-world solutions that improve lives.
SPARK continues to work closely with American University of Sharjah, University of Sharjah, and Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa) to support education, research, and entrepreneurship. Together, these institutions form the backbone of Sharjah’s sustainable innovation journey.
With its new identity and strong partnerships, SPARK is setting a clear direction for the future — one that reflects Sharjah’s growing global reputation for creativity, technology, and collaboration.
