The fujairah calligraphy ornamentation conference concluded in Fujairah with the attendance of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah. The event highlighted the importance of preserving and promoting Islamic arts as part of global cultural heritage.

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Sharqi, accompanied by his son, Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, attended the closing ceremony of the fujairah calligraphy ornamentation conference. He praised the UAE’s efforts under the leadership of H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah, to support artistic and cultural projects that keep Arab and Islamic traditions alive.

The Crown Prince emphasized that Fujairah is dedicated to advancing creativity and sharing artistic knowledge through international collaboration. He also visited the accompanying art exhibition, which displayed the works of renowned professors. And artists from different countries, including the UK, Italy, Austria, Spain, Turkiye, Japan, Pakistan. And several Arab nations such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia, and Lebanon.

The two-day conference, held from October 18 to 19, featured 18 research papers exploring the philosophy, history, and aesthetics of Islamic calligraphy and ornamentation. One notable lecture, titled “From Sacred Geometry to Generative Code,” explored how traditional Islamic designs can be integrated with modern digital tools.

The event concluded with H.H. Sheikh Mohammed honouring distinguished artists, researchers, and participants for their contributions to preserving and promoting Islamic art globally.
