Saudi Arabia has announced that all visa types for Umrah are now accepted, allowing Muslims from across the world to perform the pilgrimage with greater ease. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah confirmed this decision as part of efforts to simplify travel procedures and expand access in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
According to the ministry, the update includes personal, family visit, tourist, transit, and work visas. Holders of these visas can now perform Umrah without applying for a separate Umrah visa. Officials said this move reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to improving services for pilgrims and making religious travel more accessible.
The ministry highlighted that this step supports the Kingdom’s goal of welcoming more visitors to the holy sites and ensuring they can perform their rituals in peace and comfort. The initiative aims to strengthen the country’s position as a global center for Islamic tourism.
To make the process even easier, the government launched the Nusuk Umrah platform, which allows users to book Umrah packages, choose suitable dates, and obtain electronic permits directly. The platform also provides flexible options and a smooth booking experience for pilgrims worldwide.
The decision to include all visa types for Umrah marks a major milestone for the Kingdom’s modernization efforts. Saudi authorities continue to enhance facilities and safety standards, ensuring every visitor enjoys a safe, spiritual, and memorable journey.
