Sharjah Suicide Case: Video Shows Indian Woman Allegedly Assaulted by Husband

Sharjah suicide case has taken a new turn after a shocking video surfaced online. The clip shows Indian woman Athulya Sekhar being beaten by her husband, Satheesh Sankar. The video was widely shared on social media and reported by several Malayalam media outlets.

According to reports, the video was recorded just days before Athulya’s death. In the footage, she can be seen crying and running around a table while Satheesh attacks her. Satheesh can also be heard threatening to stab her or hire someone to kill her. He reportedly said he would never let her live without him.

Athulya was found dead in her Sharjah apartment a day after her 30th birthday. Forensic reports confirmed that she died by suicide. Her parents have filed a case against Satheesh, accusing him of physical and mental abuse. The new video evidence has been submitted in court to support their claims.

Satheesh admitted to hurting Athulya but claimed he did it “out of love.” His lawyers argued that the video was old and should be checked through digital forensics. Earlier this month, Satheesh was arrested at Kerala airport but later released on bail after his statement was recorded.

After her body was flown to India, a postmortem was done before the final rites. The couple’s 10-year-old daughter is now living with Athulya’s parents.

The Sharjah suicide case continues to be under investigation. The fresh video evidence may play a crucial role in proving the allegations of abuse against Satheesh.
