Nora Fatehi obsession case has shocked Uttar Pradesh after a 26-year-old woman from Muradnagar accused her husband of harassment. She alleged that her 28-year-old husband, a physical education teacher from Meerut, forced her to work out in the gym for three hours daily so she could “look like” Bollywood star Nora Fatehi.
According to the woman’s complaint, if she resisted, he restricted her food intake to stop her from gaining weight. She further claimed that he repeatedly taunted her appearance. And said his life was ruined because he could have married someone who resembled the actress.
The Nora Fatehi obsession case took an even darker turn when the woman said she discovered she was pregnant two months ago. She alleged her husband gave her a pill that turned out to be an abortion drug. Soon after, she suffered a miscarriage and had to be hospitalised.
Despite her family spending nearly Rs75 lakh on the wedding, including jewellery, cash, and a Mahindra Scorpio. She alleged that her in-laws continued to harass her over dowry demands. By July, she claimed, her in-laws even refused her entry into their home.
Police have registered an FIR against the husband and his parents under charges of dowry harassment, humiliation, and forced abortion. Deputy Commissioner of Police Dhawal Jaiswal confirmed to the Times of India that the investigation is underway and all allegations are being verified.
This disturbing case shows how obsession, control, and abuse can destroy lives behind closed doors.
