Supreme Court Accepts Former PM Imran Khan’s Bail Pleas in 8 May 9 Cases

In a landmark decision, the Supreme Court of Pakistan has accepted former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s bail pleas in eight May 9 cases, overturning earlier rejections by the ATC and LHC.

The three-member bench, led by CJP Yahya Afridi alongside Justices Muhammad Shafi Siddiqui and Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb, delivered a major legal relief for the PTI founder. Barrister Salman Safdar represented Khan, while Punjab’s Special Prosecutor Zulfiqar Naqvi argued on behalf of the state.

This verdict is more than a legal milestone — it symbolizes a turning tide in Pakistan’s political landscape. The phrase “Bad-e-Sabā” (the morning breeze) poetically reflects the arrival of hope, change, and a new chapter after a long season of uncertainty.

A developing story…
