No WiFi No Lights: Sharjah Nomad Luxury Trailers Opening Soon in Kalba Mountains

Sharjah Nomad Luxury Trailers are set to welcome guests later this year, offering a new eco-retreat experience on the emirate’s east coast. The project will launch in the fourth quarter of 2025 in Kalba’s mountain valleys, near the Kalba Nature Reserve. Built locally and powered by solar energy, the 20 trailers are designed for off-grid living. With no Wi-Fi and lights turned off at night, the retreat encourages visitors to disconnect from digital distractions and enjoy clear night skies.

Sharjah Nomad Luxury Trailers are part of the “Sharjah Collection,” an expanding portfolio of eco-friendly retreats managed by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq). The collection already features unique stays across deserts, coasts, mountains, and heritage towns. Together, it now offers 154 accommodation units as part of a wider Dh850 million hospitality portfolio.

The new project reflects the rising global demand for wellness tourism and slow travel. According to the Global Wellness Institute, wellness tourism will surpass \$1 trillion in 2025. Sharjah is already seeing growth in this sector, with tourist numbers rising 11 percent in 2024. And international occupancy continuing to climb this year.

Other eco-retreats in the collection include Al Faya Retreat in Mleiha’s desert, Kingfisher Retreat in Kalba’s mangrove reserve. And Moon Retreat, a popular stargazing and yoga destination. In addition, Al Badayer Retreat offers dune adventure. While Najd Al Meqsar and Al Rayaheen Retreat in Khorfakkan highlight heritage homes and historic forts.

Sharjah Nomad Luxury Trailers promise to combine comfort with sustainability, offering a retreat where visitors can slow down, reconnect with nature, and enjoy authentic travel experiences.
