New Twist in Humaira Asghar Case: Court Orders Police to Register Murder Case

Mystery in Model’s Death

In a dramatic turn, the Humaira Asghar murder case has taken a new direction. A Karachi sessions court has ordered police to register a murder case, following suspicious evidence and unanswered questions in the model’s death.

Court Orders FIR

The Additional District and Sessions Judge (South) directed police to file an FIR under Section 154 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The ruling came after Humaira’s family lawyer filed a petition. He argued that blood traces, deleted WhatsApp data, and unusual gaps in the inquiry point towards foul play.

Digital Footprints Raise Questions

Humaira’s last known activity was on October 7, 2024, when she tried to contact 14 people, including a TV director. None of her calls were answered. Her WhatsApp profile photo later disappeared, and messages remained unread. Police recovered three phones, a tablet, and her diary from the apartment.

Family Demands Justice

Humaira’s family believes she was murdered. Her mother told reporters that her daughter’s final digital activity was a “cry for help.” The court agreed that unexplained digital traces and forensic evidence provide enough grounds to treat the matter as a homicide investigation.

Key Developments

July 8, 2025: Body found in DHA Karachi apartment.
October 7, 2024: Last WhatsApp activity.
August 18, 2025: Court orders FIR in Humaira Asghar murder case.

Ongoing Investigations

Police are testing blood samples, analyzing financial records, and questioning close contacts. If evidence confirms foul play, those linked to Humaira’s final days may face serious charges.
