Pakistan Medical Centre expansion will soon help more UAE residents access free and low-cost healthcare. The Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) announced that Dh45 million will be invested to triple the size and services of the Pakistan Medical Centre (PMC) in Oud Metha. Construction work will start soon and is expected to take two years.
Dr Faisal Ikram, president of PAD, said the project is one of the largest in the organisation’s history. The new 89,000 sqft block will offer advanced diagnostics, radiology, a dialysis unit, enhanced physiotherapy, and expanded specialised services. The Pakistan Medical Centre expansion will also feature indoor sports facilities and basement parking, making it the largest community centre for overseas Pakistanis.
Since its opening in October 2020, PMC has treated 140,000 people from over 100 nationalities, with a monthly footfall of 4,500–5,000 patients. People from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India, the Philippines, African nations, and even UAE citizens visit the centre for affordable or free care.
Pakistan’s ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, praised the initiative as “the most affordable medical treatment” in the country, with full checkups available for just Dh100. He also highlighted that Pakistanis in the UAE sent a record \$7.9 billion in remittances last year a 20% rise from the year before.
The expansion aims to meet growing demand and ensure better healthcare access for all communities.
