University of Sharjah makes impact at Arab Universities Conference in Kuwait

The University of Sharjah (UOS) showcased its leadership at the 57th General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities.

The event took place at the International University of Kuwait and gathered presidents and representatives from over 250 Arab universities.

Leading academic figures from across the region also participated under the theme, “Arab Higher Education in the Era of Digital Transformation and Regional Integration.”

His Excellency Professor Hamid Majoul Al Nuaimi, Chancellor of UOS, led the university’s delegation with great distinction.

Moreover, his participation reflected the University’s commitment to excellence and collaboration in higher education.

This vision aligns closely with the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

For two days, Kuwait transformed into a vibrant hub of academic dialogue and innovation.

University leaders and scholars discussed key challenges facing higher education during rapid technological change.

Importantly, discussions focused on strengthening academic cooperation, embracing artificial intelligence, and fostering innovation across institutions.

Throughout the meetings, Prof. Al Nuaimi emphasized the University of Sharjah’s strong commitment to academic excellence.

He also stressed the University’s efforts to expand its regional and global presence through strategic partnerships.

In addition, he highlighted the importance of sharing academic knowledge and developing joint educational policies.

Furthermore, Prof. Al Nuaimi praised the Association of Arab Universities for promoting dialogue among higher education institutions.

He reaffirmed the University’s support for the Association’s initiatives aimed at sustainable development and academic excellence.

The conference sessions addressed critical topics such as improving education quality, expanding research collaboration, and boosting innovation.

Additionally, participants explored strategies to enhance Arab universities’ rankings at regional and international levels.

During their visit, the UOS delegation visited the UAE Embassy in Kuwait for a key meeting.

They were warmly received by Dr. Matar Hamed Al Neyadi, UAE Ambassador to Kuwait.

Together, they explored opportunities to strengthen academic collaboration with Kuwaiti institutions.

This meeting further demonstrated the University of Sharjah’s commitment to expanding its international academic partnerships.

Academic topics discussed included boosting scientific research, promoting knowledge exchange, and developing new educational programs.

Lastly, Prof. Al Nuaimi participated in the 56th session of the Executive Council of the Association of Arab Universities.

He joined other academic leaders in shaping future strategies for advancing higher education across the Arab region.
