His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Head of the Oil Department, and President of the Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC), inaugurated the second edition of the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) EXPO.
The event is taking place at the Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre and will run for two days. It aims to enhance workplace safety, encourage sustainability, and unify HSE efforts across various sectors. The exhibition gathers regulatory bodies, private companies, industry leaders, and technical experts to share ideas, promote innovation, and build a stronger culture of health and safety.
The opening ceremony began with the UAE national anthem. SNOC CEO Engineer Hatem Dhiyab Al Mussa welcomed the attendees and highlighted that health and safety are not just operational checklists but core values that drive project success. He stated that although industries and projects worldwide continuously evolve, health and safety remain constant, adapting to support sustainable growth and employee well-being. Al Mussa emphasized the important role of specialized institutions in implementing effective safety standards. These bodies must lead innovation, ensure continuity, and create safer work environments across all sectors.
