Issam Mohammed Khalifa Al Kaabi, Director of Events and Projects at the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, highlighted the festival’s focus on diversity and innovation. This year’s light shows used advanced 3D projection technology. These projections narrated stories inspired by local heritage and the natural environment.

The festival began with a breathtaking show at Al Rafesah Dam in Khorfakkan. Titled “The Light of the East,” this captivating 3D projection told the story of the dam. It also highlighted the surrounding mountains. This visual journey celebrated the region’s natural beauty and cultural significance.

Sharjah Light Festival at Al Haffiya Lake

The second major highlight took place at Al Haffiya Lake in Kalba. The show, called “Harmony of the Ocean,” featured a stunning projection of a whale swimming across the lake. This immersive display created an interactive experience that enchanted audiences. Meanwhile, complementary events at the site saw enthusiastic participation from visitors.

Artistic Brilliance at Al Tayari Mosque

Extended Festivities at the Light Village

Al Kaabi also announced that the Light Village at the University City of Sharjah will continue its activities until February 23. The village offers a wide range of recreational and educational experiences for visitors of all ages.

Importantly, he emphasized that the 2024 edition achieved remarkable success. The festival drew large crowds who enjoyed the diverse and visually stunning light displays.
