UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and French President Emmanuel Macron discussed bilateral cooperation during a significant meeting in Paris. They explored ways to further enhance their longstanding strategic partnership, particularly in key sectors such as energy, climate action, advanced technology, and cultural exchange.

During their discussions at the Élysée Palace, both leaders addressed regional and international developments. They emphasized the importance of sustained dialogue and collaboration to promote peace and stability in the Middle East and beyond. Furthermore, they reiterated the need to confront pressing global challenges together.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed highlighted the strong UAE-France relationship, especially in energy and climate initiatives. Since 2022, the two nations have maintained a Comprehensive Strategic Energy Partnership and launched the UAE-France Bilateral Climate Investment Platform. These efforts have significantly contributed to advancing mutual goals.

Meanwhile, both leaders witnessed the signing of the UAE-France Framework for Cooperation in Artificial Intelligence. The agreement was signed by Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak on behalf of the UAE, and Jean-Noël Barrot and Éric Lombard for France. The framework aims to foster strategic collaboration on AI development, talent growth, and digital infrastructure projects.

Significantly, the framework’s initiatives include a 1GW AI Campus investment in France, talent development programs, and advanced chip technology offtake. Additionally, it involves establishing Virtual Data Embassies, which will enable sovereign AI and cloud infrastructure in both countries. These measures are expected to strengthen digital cooperation and innovation.

President Macron praised the UAE’s commitment to technological advancements and sustainable development. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, in turn, expressed appreciation for the warm hospitality extended by the French government.

Afterward, both leaders reviewed ongoing AI projects under the framework and emphasized their intent to monitor and support their development closely. They highlighted the importance of continued collaboration to achieve meaningful progress.

Later, President Macron hosted a formal dinner in honor of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and his delegation. The visit, which included senior officials from both nations, further strengthened the growing relationship between the UAE and France.

The strategic agreements and discussions reinforced the shared vision of both nations for technological innovation, economic growth, and sustainable development.
